Privacy Policy and Cookies

High Voltage Gaming privacy policy has been adapted to the GDPR. In addition, we have worked to make the High Voltage Gaming documentation on privacy policy more understandable, organize it by sections, provide examples that illustrate how the policies may be implemented, and define some terms to gain accuracy and simplicity.

The Basics

1. Definitions

These definitions should help you understand this policy.

GDPR” refers to the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data.

Personal Data” means any information that identifies or can be used to identify an individual directly or indirectly, including, but not limited to, first and last name, identification number, date of birth, email address, gender, occupation, or other demographic information.

Website” means all content included in our domains: phraqtal.net and any subdomains and subsites.

Services” means the online plugins, extensions, software, including any information or support related to them we provide to bloggers and business to improve their website.

Channels” means the various means by which we may collect information including our Website, the Services, social media pages, HTML-formatted e-mail messages and through offline sales and marketing activities.

we,” “us,” “our,” and “High Voltage Gaming” refer to High Voltage Gaming, a company governed by United States law.

Website Visitor” refers to anyone visiting our Website.

User” refers to the person or entity that uses our Services.

you” refers to Website Visitors or Users.

(c) Publicly available data or data from other sources: We may also store certain information from automated interactions on websites other than High Voltage Gaming or other data you may have made publicly available. This information may include:

Your name or WordPress username, for example, when you participate in WordPress support forums.
Your name, your social account, and Personal Data that is public on that account when providing a rate review or participating on social media (for example, the WordPress Plugin Directory, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest or Instagram).

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

6. How We Use Personal Data

We may use and disclose Personal Data only for the following purposes:

7. What Personal Data We Share and Disclose to Third Parties

We do not sell your Personal Data to anyone. We may share your Personal Data with our third party Service Providers, who help us provide and support our Services, such as credit card processing services, order fulfillment, analytics, event or campaign management, website management, information technology and related infrastructure provision, customer service, e-mail delivery, auditing, and other similar services. We cannot control the actions of other users of these platforms or the actions of the platforms themselves. Your interactions with those features and platforms are governed by the privacy policies of the companies that provide them.

(c) Links to third-party websites. Our Website include links to other websites, whose privacy practices may be different from ours. If you submit Personal Data to any of those sites, your information is governed by their privacy policies. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policy of any website you visit.

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

14. Accuracy and Data Retention

We take reasonable business measures in compliance with laws to keep your Personal Data accurate and up to date, to the extent that you provide us with the information we need to do so. We will retain the following data:

(a) Disaggregated data: Disaggregated data data will be retained without a deadline for deletion.

(b) Subscribers data: During the time your account is active or as long as needed to provide you with our Services in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

(c) Newsletter subscribers’ details: From the moment the user subscribes to the newsletter until the subscription is ceased.

(d) User data uploaded by High Voltage Gaming to pages and profiles on social networks: From the moment the user offers consent until it withdraws it.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

 Third Party Service providers

We use G Suite (Gmail, Docs, Drive, and Calendar for business), for communication, storage, and collaboration. Personal Data related to some of our services is kept in Google’s systems. In addition, on our Website, we use Google Analytics to analyze their use and optimize their performance.

Google is a US company the data of which is stored in Google Cloud Locations. As described in their Privacy Shield certification, they comply with the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield as set forth by the US Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of Personal Data from European Union member countries and Switzerland, respectively.
